Missed my flight & stuck in a foreign land...

Wad unusual routine for me to celebrate my CNY tis yr. Decided to opt for a CNY getaway to a nearby countries to escape from my relatives whom i only get to c once in a blue moon. This trip is not only unusual, it will also becum a highlight in my life too... Read more below:
Aiyoyo... i'm blogging this post @ HK Int'l Airport. The time now is 0038h, 23rd Feb 2007. A day which I will nv forget in my life.
For those who think such 'mishaps' or should i say suayness happens only in e hollywood movies, i shall tell u dat it is happening rite to both mi + SY now! We have been stuck in e airport since 2017h on 22nd Feb 2007... We were merely late for a few mins & the gate were closed... *Goodness* Haiz.. dun ask wad happen. Not dat i'm pek cik or wad, jus dat tink its partly due to our fault + miscommunications as well. A BIG mistake learnt indeed for the both of us. (FYI, the 2 of us almost missed our flight on our way to HK too.)
Well, the 1st thing that struck my mind was to inform my boss + my parents + Uncle on my whereabouts. Otherwise, SY might start to engage the DART Team to start searching for me! Haa~ My parents + uncle din chide me; jus dat they were curious how cum we cld missed the flight wan loh! Whahahaaa...
The rest of the time, we idled, loitered... wadever description you may wish to describe how desperate, helpless e 2 of us were initially. Stuck in a foreign land, walking aimlessly ard the whole airport. (For those who wish to visit the airport / like to enquire more info, pls feel free 2 look for SY / me. We have covered every inch of the airport. All info is now in e back of my hands... Ask & u will be given - all the ans u nid 2 noe... Haa~)
Jus like you r watching the Ch U show - Cong Shan Yun Xiao. The one which is on the airport services with Francis Ng as the pilot, Flora Chan as the flight attendant etc... We were 1st brought to the Airlines Helpdesk Services by a lady (actually like wad Su Yi is doing in e show...) who helped to confirm our next available flight from HK to SG. She also helped to provide info on where we cld find Travellers' Lounge so dat we r housed in a comfortable area to spend the nite. (FYI, it does not cum cheap ok... we paid abt HKD300 per pax for 10hrs; Shower, internet access, free flow of drinks + food etc is part of tis package.) While combing / recki the airport, we also bought bird nest to drink. Oppsss... tink it shld be enough to rinse our mouth to be exact. Haa¬ Per pax has 3+1 bottles. Intending to finish 1 bottle every 2 hrs. Jus in time to clear our load by 0600h to check in for the next flight.
Next, we idled ard... waiting for time to pass by. Almost every hr, trying to take a pic of us standing in front of the clock trying to count down. Every weird (or it shld be artistic to some...) displays found in the airport, we will try to capture a moment wif it. Tis is the 1st time i ever feel dat i haf ALL the time in the world for me. Good / bad news? Its all in yr mind... (A quote by Ms Goh... ) We found our way to the Travellers' Lounge near Gate 60. Settled down wif a cheaper package aft some bargaining wif our dear attendant, Mr. Sanjay. Intially, he offered us a 20% discount off from the published rate. Think our charm still works; telling him we missed our flight, asking for further discount - up to 25% off. Well, he was kind enough to offer us the discount & offered many great helps along the way; when i was feeling freaking cold while typing this blog, i asked for towels to kip ourselves warm, he gaf us a big red blanket. He also walked past to ensure things were going rite for the 2 of us. Isn't he sweet? Haa¬
At tis point of time, he's jus like a guardian angel sent from XXX place to guard us silently by our side. Shall show u Sanjay's pics; Charming, lovely, thoughtful guardian angel... Fa hua chi again...
Its time to haf my shower too. Gonna find more activities to kill time aft dat... i gt another 4 more hrs to go. Wish me luck... (Luck for nt missing the flight + not dosing off later on! Haa)
